Collier County Public Schools

Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) is holding an exciting STEM Conference on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Golden Gate High School (2925 Titan Way) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

The opening keynote presenter is Reed Timmer, Chief Meteorologist and star of Storm Chasers.  In 2008, Reed became the first person in history to capture High Definition video inside a tornado while filming for Discovery. The closing keynote speaker is Matt Monjan with Discovery Education.  Matt has blended technology and education for more than 15 years in the worlds of both business and K-12 education.  He speaks across the United States and Canada and has been featured at local, state and regional conferences.
