   Sharing the Commitment: Conference for Parents of Students with Disabilities 2016

Are you a family member of a child with a disability? Come learn ways to increase family and school collaboration, and find out what strategies your children’s teachers will be using in the classroom so you can support participation at home, in school, and in the community!

This year, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with The School District of Lee County to hold our Fourth Annual Event! The conference will be hosted by Collier County Public Schools from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Gulf Coast High School at  7878 Shark Way, Naples, FL  34119. The opening keynote session begins at 8:30 a.m. Our Keynote Speaker is Monica Verra-Tirado, the Bureau Chief of the Florida Bureau of Exceptional Student Education.

Online registration will open on Thursday, Oct 1 2016.

Online registration will close on Monday, November 2, 2016.

We encourage all participants to bring their own device as electronic handouts will be available through QR codes at the event site.

   STEAM Conference Fall 2016-2017

Have you thought about sharing your Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and/or Mathematics (STEAM) dynamic classroom activities, mini-projects, or career knowledge with others? If you have, we are inviting you to submit a proposal for the 6th annual STEAM Conference that will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Golden Gate High School.

Staff, Students, Parents, and Community Members are invited to present at this innovative conference. In addition to professional development sessions for educators and administrators, the STEAM Conference will also offer sessions focused on STEAM careers for students.

ENHANCED this year!  A special STEAM Village will be available for parents and children who would like to experience several hands-on, mini STEAM projects throughout the morning. Additionally, high school academies and the entrepreneurship program will be highlighted
